We are now entering the “Go Live” Phase of development and deployment.
Going Live Phase:
During this phase it brings together all the technological components of the machine-to-machine payments, Liquid Infrastructure, and the iFi DEX to the Althea L1 chain. Enabling operators to scale utilities and telecom networks utilizing the settlement layer, or liquid infrastructure to fund new builds or acquisitions. Liquid Infrastructure can be deployed to Althea L1 currently, and is well situated to help operate, fund and grow networks with minimal integration friction.
As we progress in the Going Live Phase, we’ll see the following on the development side:
-
Cardinal update: Brings UX and governance updates to the iFi DEX, update date likely by early November
-
Stabilization and UX fixes to the iFi DEX, which enables liquidity onboarding
-
Althea L1 router firmware update: testing and onboarding of the machine-to-machine settlement
-
Reporting and Transparency: Status and progress of on-chain settlements and Liquid Infrastructure
Now that the iFi DEX is live, we encourage the community to think about sustainability, including issuance of inflation and incentives for the DEX. Initially, the Foundation proposes a decrease of inflation rewards by 15% and using the same measure of issuance, instead, as incentives for providing liquidity to the iFi DEX.
The iFi DEX is purpose-built for the machine economy as a key part of the Althea overall stack. It’s efficiencies and the stable assets, sUSDS and USDS can now also be utilized across the interchain, supporting sustainable fee revenue in the DEX as well. ALTHEA used for fees in the EVM, including the iFi DEX, is programmatically burned.
After the completion of the Going Live Phase, other developments include:
- Lending for the Liquid Infrastructure
- Liquid Staking for Althea, leveraging the liquid infrastructure technology.
Althea is a collaboration of many supporters, operators, users and developers that are key to building the vision of sovereign and resilient infrastructure and utilities.
