During one of the required steps to add the Althea testnet network, I navigated to https://test.althea.link and selected the Connect Wallet option, choosing MetaMask as the provider. Initially, there was no visible response and the MetaMask extension did not open as expected. After some delay, the wallet eventually launched.
Following this, I began noticing a general decline in system performance on my laptop. I am running Windows 10, using Google Chrome with the MetaMask extension installed. To investigate the issue, I monitored system performance via Task Manager.
Attached is a screenshot capturing the resource usage before and after accessing the website. I observed a noticeable increase in CPU usage after engaging with the MetaMask plugin, which raised some concern.
I’m unsure if this level of resource usage is typical, and I’m sharing this in case others have encountered similar behavior or to understand whether this is expected.
